Why does everyone bother to stay up to date on this thread unless you are directly impacted by this pernicious legislation? This is your chance to do something about it. Your chance to do one thing, with no risk attached (they already know who you are), to help yourself. Your chance to help other victims. One letter on its own is likely to be filed in the circular cabinet. A continuing flow of letters across Parliament and Government will raise awareness and will make a difference.

DR will provide the draft letter, Toucan provided the link to find out who to send it to, this will take no more than a few minutes and could save you thousands of pounds. I don't care what rate you are on, that looks like a good rate of return to me.

Don't put it off till tomorrow, or until DR says 100 people have done it, be one of the next 50 yourself.

I've already got it and will send to my lovely lib dem MP (could be worse used to be Zanu-Labour), I know 4 other users of the scheme who I will bully to do it also, they probably aren't daily readers of this thread so should be "bonus" people.

I can understand that Morale is a bit dented after the JR rejection but come on guys. We knew this would never be easy, chin up there is a looooonnnnnggg way to go yet! As MP say, the JR was only one line of attack and that is still possible...Were gonna get setbacks like this along the way, our buddies at HMRC are going to try and stop this getting to legal review and the courts as they know full well they are on shakey ground...

In my experience the best way to take your mind off things is to do something pro-active.

Here is the perfect opportunity. Its not as if you are doing anything in the most bit difficult!

Just wait until you get asked to get a t-shirt printed up for the JR to wear in court!

JR application refusal is normal

I was talking to a senior tax consultant at KPMG this morning about it and he said it's quite common, in his many year's experience, for JR applications to be initially rejected, and then accepted on verbal submission.

This is just part of the process.

I've had numerous requests for the letter this morning. Many are forwarding to friends and colleagues affected.

This is building a real momentum now.

I have one of those too, Scooby is his name, (he has not had a tax demand as yet!!) and a choc burmese and an asian smoke....I'm not mad honest!
