    Accounting Software

If you do your own day to day accounting do you use the likes of Sage? or MS offering Accounting 2008 package? or something else?

If you use something else what attracted you to that solution?

This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious as to just how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so ordinary and plain that you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is highly unusual though. Study it and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. Try to do so without any coaching!

If you are going to do your own year end probably Sage Instant Accounting would do the trick but you might need to know wht you're doing book-keeping wise. If you're intending to use an accountant at year end - And I would recommend you do - a simple spreadsheet would probably do the job.

I use an old copy of MS Money for this kind of stuff. Not perfect but I have a pretty good system setup now and more importantly it can give me all the useful ad hoc/month/quarter reporting I need which my accountants don't provide.

Thank you both for the quick replies.

Any pointers (Apart from google) where i should look for said spreadsheet?

Didnt even think of good old MS Money, that costs though and MS Accounting 2008 seems to be free for my basic needs from my playing with the test data they provide.

It's not that good. I looked around and found Sage to be a lot easier to use.
