Hi all,
just been of the phone with a dutch agent. In regards to payment, they offered 2 options, just wondered what your thoughts on this are.
1) Scenario 1: Payment via services company (who are the agency - not a 3rd party)
They stated after taxes and fees, my actual take home pay would be 65% (ish) of my hourly rate. Is that right? Tax hit seems far too high? Would anyone working via this means be able to provide insight in what percentage they take home?
2) Scenario 2: I bill via my Ltd
They are happy to go ahead with this (which is a surprise). However, I intend to stay in Amsterdam pretty much fulltime (i.e. will not commute back to the UK every weekend)... I don't think the gig will be 6 months + (but it might) and so am not sure weather to bill via LTD and chance what happens after 6 months (what would happen?? - do I pay back taxes on all previous earnings??) or just go via the services option from the start, but face a hugely reduced take home.
Finally, the first 2 months of the project will involve me working 60% from the UK. Again, not sure if this changes anything (althought my 183 days will probably last longer than 6 months if I do those from the UK).
Any thoughts appreciated
Thanks all,
TM
