Decided to job change in 3 months - stay limited?

    Hi there,

    Newbie here!

I have been with an umbrella company for many months now. I have been thinking of going Limited soon. My contract is ongoing, but I was thinking of dropping the current and contract job and contract elsewhere in 3 months time.

Is it much hassle drop the umbrella and start a new limited company now to take advantage of the benefits or is it best to wait the 3 months for a fresh contract?

    Thanks in advance

The sooner you go limited the better IMHO. Providin your brolly hasn't tied you in and the agency is OK with it, I'd go limited stright away.

Yes, no reason to wait. That way your company will already have a bit of trading history when you get your second contract. Some customers find brand new companies a bit scary.
