My contact seems to be limited to sending them a spreadsheet which I've filled in once a quarter, which hopefully is correct.
I've never been asked for receipts or anything (which I used to send to a previous accountant) so just keep them at home.

Usually get a reply to any email query within 24 hours. I wouldn't say they are very "proactive" or provide an especially personal service though, I haven't had any advice from them on anything whatsoever, even when starting up.
To be fair I guess its all in the bumpf they give you, or on their website.

Seems to be running smoothly so no real complaints. I get the impression they've had to expand rapidly to take on all the new ltds, but maybe a quick annual review of each company re:the latest advice on tax efficiency would be a good idea to mark them out as providing the best service? Just a thought.

It's also disheartening to see people who have been with them since June and had loads of help.
Just noticed the last sentence which is slightly surprising. As you brought this into a public forum I'd like the opportunity to respond to this in particular.

I've had a chat with the director heading the office which handles your account, and have looked into your file, which shows the following:

" Went to meet him for lunch in XXXX on 26th July 2007 where we had a very good meeting. We went through a number of things and I asked him to contact me directly as soon as he felt his expectations were not being met. He has not contacted me since to voice his concerns"

"Company budget set out for xxxx to give advice on projected performance – meeting held on 4 June 2007"

"Most recent e-mail correspondence dated September 2007 was all very pleasant with no indication given of his unhappiness"

All the compliance work also seems to be in order.

So, we have done everything we have been contracted to do, had two meetings with you, changed your original accountant, and asked that you contact us direct if you have any issues.

I can't see how much more help we could have given you?
P.S. What Spreadsheet? Revolutionising the contracting market again.

Maybe the lack of contact since september to now may the problem

FFS if you want someone to phone you every week to ask how you are and if you are feeling ok then maybe this contracting malarkey isn't for you. They are accountants not counsellers.

The last email we received from Gary was Sept - we've sent out several since then for various compliance matters, so no, that's not it.
