OMG, what was I thinking when I signed up with these jokers

If I'd only read these forums before I jumped into my first contract I could have avoided the distress I'm feeling currently. Here's the story...
Offered a 6 month contract back in July which I accepted, all before I'd even sorted out a Ltd company or umbrella affair. I try one umbrella who on the day before I'm due to start work let me know that the agency I got the job through won't deal with them! So I madly call the first recommendation I get from a chap I know who has contracted for many years.... KeyPay. I should have know from the way the phone calls went that it was bad news, there only seems to be one person ever that you can talk to (Jane), who is merely an admin as far as I can tell.

The deal goes something like this, i get minimal monthly salary and the rest is discretionary loans at 0% (sounds too good to be legal?), I knew is sounded suspect but I was in a fix as I'd already started work by that point.
It's now four months down the line and I've yet to see a loan payment as they're claiming the agency says the timesheets I've submitted to KeyPay never arrived or were late. So I'm eeking a living out of the very minimal monthly salary they give me, have no idea where to turn in terms of legal advice and suspect they might disappear with my hard-earned.

I know I'm a total plank for getting myself into this mess so I'm not looking for sympathy, but can anyone suggest how I can get out of this mess whilst still keeping the reminder of my 6-month contract (which has been hinted at being extended for another 6-months) ?

the first thing that you need to do is to ask the agency if they have paid.

Without this information you are snookered

Are you a member of the PCG? If so, speak to them.

You say "the agency says the timesheets I've submitted to KeyPay never arrived or were late" -- which confuses the source of the problem. i.e. find out who is missing what. It should be simple enough for you client to re-sign past timesheets if need be, and for you to re-submit these.
