    My accountant chick - en

Thanks to the latest developments surrounding MSC's I finally managed to set up a ltd company and also ensured that my contract terminated with Giant on the 5th April and had the remainder of my present contract transferred to my new company. I found an accountant via the PCG qualified scheme. She helped me with the company set up( i needed an address to have my company registered at)... now one month into the service, she has chickened out stating that she is not willing to risk the liability of unpaid tax and NI... and hence has to lose me as a client. She has offered a refund... but now I need to find another accountant who can offer to have my company registered at their place and who can provide an accountancy service to my ltd company.

Simon, Alan and others .... any advice... thanks

Also, if it was a PCG QA accountant I suggest you tell the PCG about it...
        Blog? What blog...?

call me for a free chat.. 0845 869517 anytime early or late.

Happy to uncook the chicken/goose/etc so you can make a more relaxed choice in your own time. You might not be under the pressure you feel you are.

The PCG QA scheme doesn't have MSC/Debt transfer provisions on the course syllabus (as of a couple of weeks ago or so) . It would appear this is what she is scared about. Even if it was covered, these matters were only raised by HMG in Dec 2006 - though the issue has been around for yonks anyway.

Everyone believed what the internet sites said... ..
          Go figure.
..so Gordon just shouted a bit louder.

p.s. for a start: making your registered office your home address might be an instant fix (with lots of assumptions) and it costs nothing.

pps I joined in order to make this post as someone told me about your situation which I believe is entirely un-necessary.
