New HMRC consultation on reporting LTD dividends

Proposal (amongst others) is to report your own company dividends separately to other dividend sources. Smells like they want to more easily identify Outside IR35 contractors.

I love the preamble from the Minister. "The world is changing..." Very Jim Hacker.

I struggle to see how that preamble had any relevance to the consultation. Blathering on about reoffending rates and whatnot.

I think I might cogitate on that and respond. Good spot!

This was highlighted during the pandemic when this gap in data posed challenges for government in assessing whether it could target specific support intended to replace the income of COMs.

          The hours employees work??

So timesheets have to be kept now? I frequently started at 7.30 and finished at 6-7pm, despite the client only wanting me to enter 9-5 (which enabled me to have the odd morning or afternoon off once the client knew how I worked).

I would put the real hours into HMRC in future and let them figure it all out…
