    Letter from Pension regulator

    Hi all,
Received a letter from Pension regulator. Me and my spouse are both Directors of the company and recently added a member as an employee at minimum wages but without any employment contract. I called pension regulator phone line and lady was repeatedly asking whether there is any employment contract being done with new employee. She said I don't need to register if there is no employment contract. Is it correct? Can you please share your knowledge on this subject.

There is alwaya contract, even if it isn't written.

    From https://www.gov.uk/employers-workpla...in%201%20month
    What your employer must do

Your employer must automatically enrol you into a pension scheme and make contributions to your pension if you’re eligible for automatic enrolment.

If your employer does not have to enrol you by law, you can still join their pension scheme if you want to. Your employer cannot refuse.

However, they do not have to contribute if you earn these amounts or less:
    • £520 a month
    • £120 a week
    • £480 over 4 weeks
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!
