Working through E.U Limited Company in UK

    Greetings,

I'm a E.U citizen who is currently working in the U.K through a U.K limited company,

I was wondering if I can open a limited company somewhere in Europe ( Hungary, Cyprus etc.) and work through that company in United Kingdom?

If yes, where do I have to pay my taxes? ( Corporation tax + Dividend payments tax)

And incase I work through a foreign company, how would it effect my IR35 situation?

    Best regards,

    Atlas

No, agencies insist on UK companies for good reasons (mainly because they won't trust nor understand anything else)..

Can you work in the UK through an EU company?

Yes, you can work in the UK through an EU company. It's legal.

No, you probably won't be able to because agencies won't work with non-UK companies, but if you can find clients direct rather than through an agency it might be find.

Maybe, but we don't know what the rules are going to be once the Brexit transition is over.

If you do the work in the UK, you'll pay UK taxes.

If you do the work in the UK, using an EU company will have no impact on your IR35 status. If you don't work in the UK, you won't be subject to IR35 whether you use an EU company or not.

Yes. But you will probably need to show agencies/clients a genuine reason for it (for example you are a resident of that other country).

There is no simple answer as it depends on tax law in UK, tax law in another country, tax treaties between UK and another country. You need advise from international business tax specialist and international personal tax specialist.
