HMRC launches IR35 probe into Transport for London contractors

Assuming, being a public sector department, any contractors deemed inside (but declared outside by TFL) wont be liable for penalties and it will be TFL who have to cough up - a lot like the NHS have been made to.

Could be a problem for contractors who were there before the 2017 changes, however...

I was there in 08 and the rate was tulip. Hopefully long enough in the dim and distant past.

Although probably meant well and for all the right reasons, this bit was funny.
