    That is always one of the first things to clarify when applying for roles - is the rate all-in or + vat.
    And contract schedule wording should always specify <rate> + vat, if this is the case.

      I always quote my rate as £X+vat so that there is no trickery on the agents side.

      Was just pointing out that I'd seen a number of roles advertised in this way recently, and I think it is to try and catch out newbies.

          Must admit to not having noticed that. Usually, All In refers to sorting one's own travel and living expenses when contracting abroad from one's home country - in my experience.
