    Estate Agent Contract Wording

    Estate agent we are looking to go on the market with has the following wording in the contract;

    "Termination of the agreement can be effected by either party by giving 14 days written notice subject to the agreed minimum period which is agreed to be x weeks. The agreement will continue after the minimum period unless or until terminated by either party"

    Does this mean I can serve 14 days notice during the x weeks period, or only after the x weeks period ?

    it means you have to give 14 days notice to terminate the agreement, but will have to meet the minimum period of x weeks no matter what.

    You can serve 14 days when you want and it will be terminated after x weeks, or x weeks + 14 days (if you serve notice at x weeks).
