    Buying Shares via LTD Company

I've been contracting for 2.5 years and building up a comfortable war chest. Given interest rates are so low at the moment - I'm looking at other ways to use my companies surplus funds.

The one that caught my attention was using my LTD company to invest is stock, shares, cryptocurrency etc.. as this is something I've been doing personally and making a reasonable return.

I was wondering if anyone was able to pass on any advice about:
    - How to best go about this?
    - Best companies / trading platforms to us?
    - Tax implications?
    - Hints / Tips / Pitfalls?

Note: I'm not looking for financial advice about specific financial instruments, just general advice.

    Thanks in advance.
