    Crowdfunding for good causes

I suspect it's probably a 'no', but can myCo make a (tax free) company donation to a crowdfunded good cause that is not a registered charity?

Before anyone doubts my motives, I do not stand to gain personally and I do not know the recipient, but it appears to be a good cause (local child who needs medical treatment only available in USA)

            Donation

So you're talking about a genuine donation?

            May find this useful. Link

              It is a genuine donation.

Thanks - not sure if this applies if it's not a registered charity though?

                Charity

No necessarily a registered charity but must be set up for "Charitable Purposes" only.

Thanks Darren, appreciated. Sounds like it should be fine.
