    MVL from abroad

Can I apply for MVL of a Ltd company (IT in financial services), and follow through the process, while resident in a different country?
Basically, if I work my last day on the contract, then permanently leave the UK with the company still open, and close the company with little/no hassle.
The whole procedure, to my knowledge, takes months, so is there an early point, ideally before MVL even starts, from which I don't have to be in the UK?

    Many thanks

In a word, "yes". There will be one document you need to post near the beginning (as Companies House require a "wet" signature on the declaration of solvency), but everything else can be done via email.

Worth double checking the personal tax rules of the country you're moving to though, sanity check they won't want a big slice of the distributions.

I did exactly that last year with the help of MVL Online, the service I received was excellent and the process run smoothly despite me being abroad at the time. Highly recommended.
