For reasons that are too stupid to go into here I have deregistered for VAT, what is the easiest way to reverse this (is it even possible?) or do I need to register again?

Re-Registering for VAT

Rules may have changed but I did the same in late '99 and re-reg'd in early 2000. If I recall correctly, as no other details had changed, it was a phone call only and they sent me a new VAT certificate.Originally posted by SimonMac View PostFor reasons that are too stupid to go into here I have deregistered for VAT, what is the easiest way to reverse this (is it even possible?) or do I need to register again? When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply..... -

I've done this recently. I couldn't work out how to do it online because it still showed my old account, so I sent in the paper form and re-registered (got a new VAT number and certificate). I then had to contact their support to work out how to get my new account to appear on the online system. I'm now waiting on the FRS.
If your online account still shows the old you need to remove it and the "change VAT registration" service whatever that is, and then you should be able to register online. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment
