    Alleged overpayment....

Previous agency of previous clientco coming back to me wrt to an overpayment they say they've made to me, only a day but I'm not sure if it's justified or not, since I have no access to my previous clientco email account to check what I was asked to do at the time.

Was a payment for a full day when I was on call Easter Bank Holiday.

To be honest I have little recollection over then a bit of a flap at the time and should just let it go - but I want to at least not just accept it.

All was signed off and approved by the boss man and paid to me without any issues at the time.

I think I have the upper hand since I have the approval but am I being a bit arsey?

And also thinking about it they should have some evidence to prove me guilty rather than me drive my innocence? On the other hand is it worth it for £1500?

Since it was all signed off and approved at the time, I can't see what their justification for over payment is?

burden of proof should be on them, not on you to prove innocence.

BTW was that a flat day rate or triple time for a bank holiday.
If the former, it seems like a very contrived way to boast about your day rate

Wasn't my real day rate lol! I halved it!! Seriously tho - I obscured it, but I concur with what u said - sounds like Agency has dispute with clientco and is making me do their work to resolve it. I'll help but my hands are tied.

      Cheers!

Surely this is extremely straight forward - either the payment matches your invoice or it doesn't.

Like i said to agentco I'm willing to assist but not when it starts to serious impinge on my time, like it is now.....

For half a days billing? Not worth it IMO.

If the timesheet was signed off and payment released, then the client company authorised you to be paid. What are they arguing about?

Seems like some kid/drone has been combing everything to claw back.

If they want £1500 quid back aren't you going to have to sell your house in Bolton and put some spare change in to make it up?
