    You can opt-out of pension auto-enrolment but it doesn't mean the company doesn't have a pension scheme for it's officers.

          there's probably no case law yet but that's only because the pension auto enrolment hasn't really taken off across small companies yet - someone on one hand trying to say "look, look! I have the same expenses as BigCo!" while on the other hand saying "I don't need to opt in to the mandatory pensions enrolment because I'm only a one man band" is a bit inconsistent?

              it's not me you've got to convince

              edit - all I'm saying is that if it's just some online forms to fill in, i'm going to set it up in case I do employ people in the future - each to their own what you do
