That would be helpful... what would you need from me?

Try Jones Harris, Fleetwood, Lancashire. Far better than these SJD types.

Any recommendations for someone up north (Liverpool ideally...) who I can speak to with regards to tax etc?

Basically, I want to make sure that I'm kind of claiming for everything that I possibly can. I know you can put lump sums into pensions to save corp tax etc but don't know anything about that...

So just generally someone to go over my last few years accounts to find out where I can save money!

I can arrange for one of our accountants to come and see you and discuss over a coffee? Alternately PM me your details and I'll send over one of our expenses guides.

As NLUK said, this is more-or-less the standard setup for contractor accountancy firms. That said, we did recently add a new package that includes the "pro-active" (quotes because this means different things to different people) bit, meaning one of our senior accountants will go through your accounts and identify areas that could use some improvement. Shoot your Account Manager an email about it and they can explain.
