Maybe you should actually read Sausage Surprise post it's the agent is asking for the references not the client.

I've had agents asking for references and have just refused to give them. Only one came back to me. As it was from an admin person I emailed the agent and explained that due to having NDA's and clients' that don't give references I can only give you agency details. Strangely these weren't wanted.....

I was 3 months into my last contract and the agency sent me a Waiver of Moral Rights to sign.

Firstly, I don't have any morals to waive.

They chased me about three or four times telling me how crucial it was and that the client needed it. I didn't refuse to sign it, I just said I needed to look into it. I never signed it and they stopped asking.

Or you can be really kind and give them the names of the agencies you worked through.

Or give them 2 references at the current clientco
