It is way more than that. For one thing, they have made a false advertisement. Advertised one rate and then switched that rate. I found out that this law is enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority and on Monday I filed a complaint with them and yesterday they already contacted me for more information. If Morgan McKinley is found guilty, the case will be published along with the verdict. Actually even if they are nor found guilty, the case will also be published on their web site, and the public will know about it.Originally posted by SpontaneousOrder View PostWhat is it you want to fight against? Frank. My advice to you is to move on and utilise your energy finding another role.
Agency Angst is something that most of us have felt pretty early in our contracting business. It's unpleasant and not nice to deal with, however, it impedes your thought, and progress.
You might find yourself on an agency black list that goes beyond the original agency if your name gets published?
Pyrrhic victories will puff out your chest, whilst the Warchest remains deflated...I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).Comment

Scruff, I don't blame you for taking your approach. After all, you have to feel comfortable with yourself. Of course I move on, but I also leave part of my energy to deal with this. First, I don't think all agencies are bad, I don't believe that there are so many bad people in this society. Second, I don't even think that Morgan McKinley is all bad, they may just be bad in this case. Maybe they just don't want to deal with it in a fair way to me. So for me to try to do something and hope to help reduce bad hehaviour I think is worthwhile, not just for the contractors but also for the agencies. Even if you don't practice my approach, at least I hope you can support my effort.Originally posted by Scruff View PostFrank. We support your effort FBF if that's what you really want to do - good luck with it."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

You're not the first crusader we've had on here and I'm sure you won't be the last.Originally posted by Frank Big Bird View PostScruff, I don't blame you for taking your approach. One person won't change the way this all works, and while your cause may be noble, it will distract (and possibly limit your chances) from what should be your main aim - earning.
Good luck though.Comment

Just joking here... crusader may not be enough. If I use martyr in this post, there may be a chance that it gets picked up by MI5 or is it MI6 and get logged in their huge databases. Then they will open up a file on me, or do they do it to all new immigrants anyway? I wonder...Originally posted by jmo21 View PostYou're not the first crusader we've had on here and I'm sure you won't be the last.
