How long to upgrade to fibre?

I've asked my ISP to upgrade my broadband to fibre. How long should I expect this to take?

    (It's a BT line, btw..)

      Ta NR,

I'll just tell my otherwise good ISP to manage their customer expectations better. 'A few days' != 14 days in my book

By 'fibre' I'm guessing you mean fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) which is a VDSL setup for up to 76Mbps.

For me it was just over 2 weeks, but that was partly because it required an openreach engineer visit (to fit the new VDSL faceplate) and I needed to book a slot where I could be at home all day.

Me too. I had to move from Be to TalkTalk. It turned from great to crap overnight.

Yeah Be to Sky to Zen. Thinking of getting fibre but as the house is up for sale, probably can't.

I had it installed 2 weeks ago. Took 4 weeks from the order. Presumably that's nothing to do with the ISP, but down to the availability of BT engineers.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

How long has Fibre been in your area took more like 6 weeks for me, but they had only laid the fibre the week before. My ISP was trialing it as well.
