A hard border between NI and the Republic is of interest to no one. The British and Irish governments don't want one. All political parties both north and south don't want one. The people of Ireland don't want one.

Well then don't leave the customs union. Otherwise it's two fingers to NI whilst he rUK sets them adrift.

Any deal will be voted on by Parliament.
She's given the EU negotiators an incentive to gives us the worst possible deal.
So clearly we're not going to leave at all - terrible deal, voted down by Parliament, back to the status quo.
In that case, the only alternative to the status quo being Hammond and May's "new economic model": a race to the bottom, low tax, low wage economy.

'A race to the bottom'. So now you're just regurgitating what you read in the spam press?

I really don't see how a low tax economy is a race to the bottom. Maybe you could enlighten me.

I'm sure you can work it out.

Edit: Actually I'm not sure at all, but do give it a try.

Luxembourg gets away with it because it's in the EU and the US nor the EU can touch them. , because otherwise Luxembourg vetos all the other deals.

Switzerland's offshore banking has been stamped on very hard by both the EU and US.
                  I'm alright Jack
