    Market gone a bit dead?

Anybody else feel this as well? March was very busy, getting loads of calls, lots of roles on jobserve, good rates.

Now everything dead, barely any roles, lower rates, fewer calls...

    What's happening?

In a nutshell, the country is well and truly fu**ed. HTH. I agree, the contract jobs market is dire right now, except in London and Aberdeen.

So long as London is OK that is OK by me.

Us Londoners just need to keep those pesky northerners from stealing our contracts. Maybe we should build a wall at Watford Gap?

Are the "cuts" beginning to bite maybe, had the impression the banks are doing well. Sometimes you get a quiet week, could always boom again in a couple of weeks.
            I'm alright Jack

I do love the way the only indicator of 'the market' is your personal perception of it. Just two weeks ago we had this:

Why didn't you take one of the roles that was desperate for you?

If you're not getting calls then maybe it's because of this:

With regards to the first point, it's not mere perception but volume of calls and actual roles that exist rather than fishing. I am sure others have experienced the same.

Also I stick by what I said. You can stiill find roles, just means you have to more flexible on location - which I would rather not.

Also nice to know somebody is reading and digesting my posts :-)
