            So we're back to Jobserve.

If you can speak the language, then go to the local job sites (one way to find them is to search on google.(insert the country code), with location switched off.
If you are looking for English speaking jobs, then Jobserve is probably the best bet.
You can also contact agents direct, ones that are UK based but have European clients
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

                dutch language requirements

since the crisis, all dutch companies have been insisting on 'fluent dutch' for contracts, even though the working language in the offices is english.
They'll even pretend to be considering applications, and waste weeks of your time, before coming up with this requirement.
                so be warned

(i lived there for 12 years, and worked in UK, germany and switzerland because of this)

The Dutch equivalent of IR35 is way more strict than the UK one. When I was offered a contract a year ago with a bank, the bank would only accept contractors using a Dutch Umbrella as they don't want any future issues with the Dutch taxman. Although the rate was good €900 per day, I didn't accept it in the end as the cost of taxes, living and travel would be too high and I would be better off on a £500 pd contract close to home in the UK
