2 Years and Expenses master thread. Read before asking questions

Due to the number of times this has come up I have collated a list of all the 2 year related posts that have been done over the past few years as a starter for people looking for clarification. A majority of these cover the basic 2 year rule and what can and can't be done, a couple have some slightly different spins on it that might suit your situation. Hopefully this will become a sticky and more relevant information can be added later.

PLEASE! - Read the information below before asking the same question on this thread. Thanks

    Another maybe stupid Question

You sign a 2 and half year contract which means as that from the beginning you cannot claim according
to the rules. After 6 Months the client ends the contract. Can you now back date the expenses or have you
simply lost out. Moral of the story perhaps never sign a contract longer than 2 years and never extend before
    23 months and 3 weeks.
HRMC lives in the 50s. Our partners do not follow our jobs any more so believing that after 2 years you should reallocate to the place of work is rubbish . If I was single yes but as Mrs BS has a permanent job near home then realocation.
