    Contracting with a Student Visa

I have a friend who works only 20 hours a week and studying full time.
He works full time during the summer break that is allowed by law.
In order to save for the tuition fee this coming September, this summer he is intending to take a contract through a management company and leave his permanent job. Is this permissible to take a contracting position under a management company?

No, you're not allowed to use the stident working provision to fund your studies, this is in the immigration rules and the IDI's the UKBA use for guidance.

Whether they find out or not is a different issue but they are pretty tenacious these days and if your friend is hoping to gain ILR via the student/10 year route squeaky clean is in order.
