I know of a few agencies that don't/didn't like dealing with the dodgy IoM offshore loan scheme types. I can understand that but I don't get how any agency can force you to use a particular brolly. It's your risk at the end of the day, not theirs. I have always assumed that it's due to back handers.Originally posted by bikeman View PostYou're lucky you get to choose your umbrella co. In my experience the agent has dictated a list of 2 or 3. I've been through more umbrella cos than I care to remember.Comment

Under the Offshore and Onshore Intermediary Rules there is a transfer of debt provision to Intermediary One (agency closest to the client.) So the risk is very clearly theirs as well. In my experience few MSPs have actually taken this on board.Originally posted by ladymuck View PostIt's your risk at the end of the day, not theirs.

I had no idea; thanks for the info. I hope to never need a brolly but it's good to know these things.Originally posted by Andy Hallett View PostUnder the Offshore and Onshore Intermediary Rules there is a transfer of debt provision to Intermediary One (agency closest to the client.)
