Windows 7 - Sleep mode then System Restore failed then document files missing

    Windows 7 - Sleep mode then System Restore failed then document files missing

    Hi Folks

    I seem to have lost 3 days of document files from my hard drive (probably since I last rebooted). System restore failed and PC rebooted and the files are nowhere to be found. Any ideas or are they lost for good?

    I have tried switching it off and on again.

    Found the only file I care about in Safe Mode. Weird.

      Have you looked to see if they're in your backup?
      Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

        Yes, but they're not. But all found in Safe Mode. No idea how that works but computers are a mystery to me.
