Keyboard Setting - Repeat Delay, Repeat Rate

My keyboard is playing up and I cant seem to find a way of changing it.

When using repeating a key such as a scroll key the keyboard really started to slow down on repeats. So I check the delay and rate, set it to fast, but i still have the same problem.

When scrolling down, Excel, Toad, Notepad or even the post thread the repeat goes for seven characters, then pauses, then goes again. Its really getting on my tits.

What setting or whats stuck on? Any ideas anyone?

Sounds like the dumb accessibity options in XP. If you accidentally held down the shift key for 8 seconds then you're likely to have turned them on. Look for Accessibility in Control Panel.

Maybe you've had too much caffeine today. Don't touch coffee until tomorrow afternoon and everything should be at the normal speed in the morning...
