Bought a little usb hub from eBuyer, came back to my macbook pro later on the USB ports were dead and the hub power a bit melted.
I suspect it blew and took the mac ports with it.
New Logic board needed apparently.
Anyone any ideas on wether I can persue the faulty product maker for anything, or is it a waste of time?
Or does anyone know of somewhere that can do board level repairs rather than replace the whole board.. seems to be a single tiny diode that blew but I dont have the kit / expertise to risk replacing it (reflow oven etc!)
