I'm planning to buy a Raspberry Pi, initially to assemble a miniature media centre but longer term to explore motion sensing and motion control apps.
Obviously ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) will be fine for the sound, and these days that is built into Linux.
But what would peeps recommend for a tip-top development kit, and video streaming software of quality and flexibility corresponding to ALSA?
I'll pay up to 3 or 4 hundred pounds for the best kit, or maybe more if necessary.
