Moving domains you have no control over

I have two clients that both need their domains moving to new servers.

    They are both on fasthosts.

The problem being that the chap that set them up is in prison. Therefore I am unable to obtain account information.

    UK-reg are no help whatsoever.

Is there anyway of forcing a domain move?

If they are UK domains, open a dispute with Nominet over ownership - they are very helpful.

If you have the original paperwork for the domains (which is usually posted to you after about 3 months) then it has a security code and pin number which allows you to have the IPS tag (who hosts it) changed no arguments!

If you have a global TLD like com, org, net etc then you are fecked!

I thought UK prisoners all had Internet access these days anyway (to go with their plasma TV's and holidays in the Algarve)
