Second HP Laptop given up after 18 months, which brand next?

+1 for Dell. I always owned a Dell laptop, Inspiron 1930 still running after 6 years, although a bit slow now, an XPS 1530, bought 3 years ago and waiting for my third Dell, Inspiron 17R SE.
