NAS - Pc & Mac - Files missing on one, but not the other

OK, so on my D-Link 320 NAS (linux OS) I have approx 30gb of music in a folder. On my PC i can see 30gb of music when connected to the NAS.

On my Mac, I see just 2.1gb. Why would this be the case? Both are using the same user account to access the NAS etc. Is there a Chmod issue here?

*EDIT have worked out it appears to be the owner, but when i try to change in Windows i get access denied. Currently running a "Chmod" via Mac to my Mac userID, but as its 280gb (all media etc) its a little slow...

Can you not telnet / ssh into the NAS and do it through there in Linux? That's what I do for mine when I need to do much which will be drive intensive.

Tried that earlier, and wouldnt allow telnet. I need to find the page with the instructions, as I have done it before.

The odd thing is, some folders are showing hidden in Windows properties, but still show in explorer. it's only when accessing via Mac that they dont show.

I've removed the user accounts on the NAS and allowed open access to all, this removes the problem when accessing via the Mac... Odd.
