Yeah I have an ADSL line as well (Newnet PLC business!) but the router ADSL line card has died (Cisco box) so I'm stuck with my backup Cable that came with the telly and phone.

I actually spent all afternoon writing a TCP/IP proxy service that sits on another server and forwards the connections via different ports.

Should have just gone and bought a crappy ADSL router from PC World instead.

You can change the port that SQL Server client and server talk on to one that is open using the Std SQL Server tools.

I guess you know that already.
