Frequent Firefox up dates?

But has anyone else noticed that these frequent FF releases are for a browser which locks up more and more often?

Today, I've just got updated to FF v8. Seems like I've gone through a ton of versions the last few weeks, any idea why this is?

I found lots of issues with V7. V8 seems alot better to me.

Funny you should say that. I've removed FF form my laptop this evening. I have found that the last two or three releases of FF had an nasty habit when launched of showing in the task manager as running but never actually appearing on the desktop. That is on Vista and tonight I decided to remove FF and try Chrome, I have to say, it looks very impressive so far.
