So what? iOS and MacOSX share some code but they are not the same OS.

Would that be the bit nicked from the BSD kernel, must be something about the BSD license.

. "Based on" doesn't mean they are the same, or have the same capabilities.

Most linux distro have distro specific patches in the kernel, but they are still considered to be linux kernel based with pretty much the same ******* capabilities.

At the moment it's probably only of interest to those wishing to get involved in porting stuff.

I would be more interested in having an ARM dev board TBH.
