    No, hadn't actually. That was one of the possible solutions iomega support gave me when I was talking to them about my own sh1tty NAS box.

    It woulda meant wiping and reconfiguring the device though so I didnt bother, but on a new install it may be worth looking at as even my cheapy one supports it.
