Does the USB dongle associated with the "USB nano receiver" present the same interface to the PC as a normal wired mouse (presumable the USB profile used by pointing devices)?

Not 100% what you are asking but are you asking if a 'nano receiver' has a full USB interface as opposed to a mini-USB one?

If so, then yes.

While most wireless receivers are about the size of a standard USB flash drive, the portion of the Nano's USB receiver that sticks out of the computer is only seven millimeters long.
