    Wireless mouse (USB nano receiver)

Does the USB dongle associated with the "USB nano receiver" present the same interface to the PC as a normal wired mouse (presumable the USB profile used by pointing devices)?

Not 100% what you are asking but are you asking if a 'nano receiver' has a full USB interface as opposed to a mini-USB one?

    If so, then yes.

(Again, I'm presuming you are referring to a Logitech Revolution Wireless Mouse).

In June, 2007, Logitech released the VX Nano. It is a smaller version of its predecessor with some new features.

Perhaps the most significant unique feature of the VX Nano notebook mouse is the 2.4 GHz wireless RF receiver. The Nano has what Logitech claims[cite this quote] to be the world's smallest USB receiver. While most wireless receivers are about the size of a standard USB flash drive, the portion of the Nano's USB receiver that sticks out of the computer is only seven millimeters long. The receiver is so small that the portion that goes into the USB port is significantly larger than what sticks out of the computer.
    Logitech link.
