    Harmony Remotes

    Anybody got one? Or a specific model to choose / avoid.

    I like the one-touch activity buttons (obviously I will be setting up a "watch porno button") and the RF capability so I'm currently thinking of:

    1) The 1100 which is a bit of a beast and would require an separate RF extender

    or

    2) The 900 which comes with a couple of RF / IR blasters and is generally more compact. It's also going to work out £120 cheaper.

    Thoughts / flames?

    I've got a basic one 525 and it works really well, you just plug it into a PC and go to their website and enter all you AV model numbers and it sets up the controls.

    Wife friendly too.

      We have the 900 Harmony and it is the best remote I have ever had.

      For me it replaces my TV, Sky+ HD, BluRay, Amp & Sonus remotes.

      Now I can watch Sky+ HD, Sky+ HD via Amp (Surround Sound), BluRay (automatically routes through to Amp and mutes TV as well) and Sonus Controller all accessed via the touch screen to switch between activities (functions) which I have set as;
      • Watch Sky
      • Watch BluRay
      • Watch Digital (via TV only)
      • Listen to music (Sonus routed through Amp).

      Once I have selected via the touchscreen the remote buttons act as normal or I can then access favourite menus again via the touchscreen.

      Best feature is as you switch between activities, it knows what devices are active and switches those off that are not being used then hitting the power button at the end of the night switches everything off with the single touch.

      Wouldn't manage without it now.
