    Has anyone used it, add-on cards, switch and/or storage box with IB connection?

    Nope, but I have used GlusterFS which supports it and is an excellent distributed file system

      yeah it's used on algo trading boxes within our IB using low latency market data feeds from Wombat and NYSE.
