Which is NBG if the requirement is for online storage, that is, storage that can be accessed over the Internet from anywhere. He didn't ask for a backup solution.
Nice try, but my method does not rule out accessing the data online - via internet.
Very happy with dropbox, also like how it replicates the folder over my different machines automatically with the client and can use the web interface in work.
When I want to check an old invoice or something I don't have to go to my secure safety box and get the last month's DVD. You know, it's an online backup service so I can use it anywhere, because, it is online.
This one: http://mozy.com/home/free
looks free for upto 2GB then $4.95 per month but I haven't done an extensive Google to look for alternatives, preferably free to some extent.
Any recommendations?
I use Mozy, pay for it though.
Its good bar the initial backup which took 2 weeks to complete (literally!). Subsequent incremental backups are speedy and their app is unobtrusive.

I'm trialling the dropbox free 2GB service for now. It looks excellent! I really like that it appears as just another folder. Looks like encryption using TrueCrypt works with it, if needed.
The "mozy" thing is a backup solution, whereas dropbox does exactly what I want.
