    Help! Possible hijacked pop3 account

I use Outlook express at home and send/recieve checks 4 email accounts for me. 2 of these account (the most important ones!) are BTInternet accounts.

As from this morning they wouldn't pick up the emails and kept timing out. On closer inspection (i.e. looking at the AVG message) it looks as though these two accounts are trying to access powermarketingcentre.com and this is probably the problem.

Anybody know how to rid myself of this pest?

I have AVG as my AV and MS Antispyware active. I'm using the standard XP Pro firewall.

I can still check my BT accounts through the web browser and there is no problem.

    Thanks
    Jason

Sounds like Outlook Express is misconfigured rather than the BT's pop3 daemon hacked. nslookup the pop3 server name and replace it's name in Outlook with the IP address of the pop3 server.

Just seems to have sorted itself out. I think it may have been a BT problem their end. The two accounts weren't related in anyway and the other two non BT accounts were fine.

      Thanks though

        (Rather belatedly)
Yes BT were throwing a bit of a paddy last night.
Hope it was nothing to do with me ;-)
