    Ahhhh!!!!

    Please don't look at OSCommerce!

    It's an utter abortion!

Just a few more exclamation marks to express my hatred of OSCommerce: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was coded by an infinite number of clueless monkeys. Please don't go there.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Thanks for your reponses, some good options I am going to explore. I did find EKMPowerShop which is a bit similar and easy to setup with little cost too. Cheers

I've just had a go at the Wordpress/e-commerce plugin from Instinct. Was impressed by WP 2.8.6 but the latest version of the plugin (3.7.5) is riddled with bugs and essentially unusable IMO. This is the list of issues from their forums. It's a shame as I really like the concept.

I think I may cut my losses with this one and try something like Prestashop, although it looks a bit fiddly to install, compared to WP+plugin. Or does anyone know of another usable WP plugin I could try?

I tried various carts, including ecommerce and gave up. In the end I used NOP Design.

If you want to see some code it's on XXXX link. You can see cart itself by clicking a view cart button.

If you download nopcart.js and save guides.html and managecart.html with images to same directory, they should work on your PC as is and you should just be able to adapt to suit. The good thing about script based is you can test without uploading, just make really sure you remove any refs to my company anywhere before you do.

I think I added quite a lot more comments than original had and adapted to UK VAT, Worldpay payments, printed orders, email orders, quantity discounts, postage rates based on value for UK/abroad etc. Not now VAT registered but I think I just commented those lines out.

That's a point. If somebody copied my site and left Worldpay details as is, then every time they made a sale I would get the value transfered to my account. Brill! Do they check the dns or something?
