new pc: hp slimline vs shuttle

i'm looking for a new pc to grace my desktop. i already have a water-cooled spaceship (mainly for games) so looking to buy a compact, *quiet* but fast, small and sexy machine purely for work stuff, which will run win7 64-bit. minimum 4gb ram, graphics not important. i've kinda narrowed choice down to the 2 above and was wondering if anyone here had any experience of either? also of course, any other ideas would be welcome...

It might be worth having a butchers at the Overclockers Small Form Factor forum - plenty of Shuttle discussion over there, as well as other options that might be of interest.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

PC smaller than a very small thing.

Seconded - has had some very good reviews too.

Am tempted to buy one and I don't even need it!

I was just wondering that - the test that they did with Martin Lewis of MoneySavingExpert? Was an ASUS box one of the others tested?

I suspect the OP wants it as a capable dev box though - not sure whether it would have the grunt for that?

Found it, it was the Acer Revo, an Asus and a Compulab:
