What OS would be the best bet for a very small footprint on a recent laptop?
I tried all the Linux distros (well a lot of em) and came to the conclusion that if I wanted anything to actually work, the smallest OS worth considering was nLited XP.
I like the idea of something like Puppy Linux that runs entirely in RAM using the disk purely for files. So even Ubuntu would be a bit bloated in this resepect (and the Wifi card wouldn't work).
But there was always something that wouldn't work with Linux. Has anything changed over the last year?
