Best photo printer for up to A4 size

Hmmm. Now that I'm beginning to understand my Nikon D40 a little better and my knowledge is growing, I've managed to take one or two decent pictures.
I'd like to print and frame them (A4 size).

What's the congregation's advice on the best photo printer?
    Hard Brexit now!

Send them to a lab, it will work out much cheaper in the long run. (this is from experience not just heresay !)

Any £25+ photo printer from Currys will print good photos at A4 these days but as has been said, use an online service like Jessops/Snapfish etc as it'll cost you far less for the same or better quality.

Yes I guess trhat's true for the really good pics, but I'd like to have a printer anyway. Does no one have any they could recommend?
