    Excel info?

I have a table of data. For each column I want to count the number of data items that goes over a certain threshold. i.e. if the threshold were 10, the following entries

    10
    9
    12
    14
    5
    20

would yield the answer of 3

Can anyone suggest how to do this?

    TIA.

    look up COUNTIF

      Yes,

If that data is in column A, then in column B put the following formular in each cell adjacent to the value in A.

      =IF(A1>10,1,0)

Copy this equation down each row.

Then at the botttom or top, put a sum for Column B.
The sum will be the total number of rows that have a value > 10

Oh yeah =COUNTIF(A1:A3,"> 10") would have done it.
